Adjust image details with the Clone tool

- Whether you want to remove unwanted elements from your images, blend different layers or create special pattern effects, the clone tool can help you do the job. With it you can sample pixels and then apply them elsewhere with a brush. And in this movie we'll start our look at the clone tool by seeing how to move or add details from a photo. Here in our exercise file we have this big image of an aircraft carrier and there's also this smaller ship in the background that I'd like to get rid of. One way to do that is to use the clone tool. First I want to work on a separate layer to preserve all the original detail in the image. So I'll switch to the clone layer, which is currently empty, and then to get the clone tool I can just press the letter C or click it in the tool box. In the tool options we have the familiar set of choices you get with any of the tools that use brushes. I'll just click to make sure I'm using the default and then use the hardness 25 brush and I'll set the size…
