Align layers
- [Instructor] Use the alignment tool in GIMP to align and distribute content on different layers. To align to a specific layer, choose the tool option, align relative to first item. Click that layer on the canvas, and shift-click the other layers to select them. Then click the button in tool options for the desired alignment. To align layers to the image, choose align relative to image. Drag with the alignment tool over layers to select them, and click the button for the desired alignment. Layers can also be distributed horizontally and vertically.
