Bucket Fill tool

- [Instructor] Let's see how to use the bucket fill tool in GIMP. This tool allows you to apply a color or pattern to either a selection or to areas with color similar to where you click. So it can be a quick way to make a color change. But it's really only useful in graphics with areas of solid color like our exercise file here. Say I wanted to replace the green color here with blue. I'll take the bucket fill tool. And notice in the options you can choose a blend mode and opacity. And you can use the foreground color, background color, or a pattern. I'll choose foreground color, and I'll click the foreground color to create a blue color. I'll use the RGB controls. And I'll make it 70, 155, 255. And click OK. I'll click on the gauge and the face to replace the green color. And then to make a darker version of the blue for here, I'll change the foreground color to HSV and reduce the vibrance down to 80, and click. So the bucket fill tool worked well here with these solid colors. Just…
