Create motion blur effects

- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll look at the motion blur effects you can create in GIMP, using the circular, linear and zoom blur filters. First, I'll show and target the circular blur layer in our exercise file. And, all these filters are located in the filters menu, under blur. So, I'll choose circular motion blur. And this allows you to apply a circular blur centered on a point in the image that you define. And you can use the center x and y values to precisely set the center of the circular blur. Or, click the pointer, and then click in the image where you want the center of the effect to be. Like, the tip of the surfboard here, or the surfer's face. Angle determines the amount of blur. And I'll tap the up arrow to increase the value, and you can see the effect change. And, if you have an active selection, you can use that as the basis for the size of the circle, or use the contents of the layer. I'll click ok. And, then turn on the linear blur layer, and target it. And choose…
