Healing tool

- [Instructor] If you ever struggled to retouch an image using the clone tool, try using the healing tool instead. It works in a very similar way, but it automatically blends the cloned pixels with the surrounding area to produce a more natural effect in some cases. Let's check it out. Here in our exercise file, we have a really damaged photo, and I'd like to begin the process of cleaning it up. So I'll start first, by creating a duplicate of the original layer, and this is the one where I'll put the retouching on. Remember, it's always best to work non-destructively. So we're not going to touch the pixels in the original layer. So with the new layer targeted, I'll take the healing tool, reset my brush options to make sure I'm using the defaults, and I'll use the hardness 50 brush, and set the size to 25. And we have the same alignment options that we saw in the movie on the clone tool. I'll leave those at alignment none, so each brushstroke will start from the same sampling point…
