Ink tool
- In this movie we'll see how to use the ink tool in GIMP. This tool lets you paint with calligraphy effects, and when you take the tool, in the tool options there are three basic shapes to pick from. Circle, square, and diamond, and within each one you can click and drag the small square to change the angle and aspect ratio. Putting the square in the center makes the brush perfectly round or square. Dragging it to the edge makes it flatter, and dragging around the center sets the angle. And when you switch to a different shape, the angle and aspect ratio stay the same. There are also controls to set mode and opacity. You can apply smoothing to your stroke, which will help give you nicer curves. I'll set the quality to 50, and the weight to 500, and you can set adjustments to the size and angle also.
