Measure distances and angles
- [Instructor] To measure distances and angles in GIMP, take the measure tool. Click then drag to measure distances in pixels. While the mouse button is held down, the distance appears in the status bar at the bottom of the window. Move your cursor over the end of a measurement line to move it. Hold option on Mac or alt on Windows and drag to move the entire measurement line. To constrain measurement lines to 15 degree angles, start dragging, then hold command on Mac or control on Windows. Hold shift and drag from an endpoint to create a second measurement line. While the mouse button is held down, the angle between the two lines is shown in the status bar.
