Use grids
- [Instructor] Grids can be helpful for aligning layers in GIMP. To view the grid, choose View, Show Grid. The default grid is composed of solid black lines spaced 10 pixels apart. To change the appearance and spacing of the gridlines, choose Image, Configure Grid. Choose a desired line style, color (mouse clicking) and spacing. (mouse clicking) To make layers snap into alignment, choose View, Snap to Grid. Then use the move tool to drag the layers. (mouse clicking) To hide the grid, go to the View menu and turn off Show Grid.
