Using Cage Transform

- [Instructor] Let's continue our look at transforming content in GIMP by seeing what we can do with the Cage Transform Tool. The Cage Transform Tool allows you to define an area of an image that you want to manipulate by setting anchor points over the image. And then you drag those points to move image pixels. As you do this, GIMP will try to blend the transformed area into the rest of the image so it's all seamless. So let's see how that works. In our Exercise file, we have this woman's profile. And say we wanted to adjust her profile by changing the shape and size of her nose. I'll start by zooming in on the nose area. And I'll take the Cage Transform Tool and start clicking around the nose to set my anchor points. Now the thing to remember with the Cage Transform Tool is you want to set anchor points where you want to move pixels.
