- [Narrator] Lets see how to control the view of documents in GIMP. As you might imagine, the commands for changing how your document appears on screen are in the view menu. Here we have commands like zoom, which has a sub-menu, where you can find the basics like zoom out and zoom in, along with their keyboard shortcuts which are just minus and plus. And the cool thing about zooming with these keyboard shortcuts is that the position of your cursor is taken into account, so it's easy to zoom in on a particular part of an image. For example, if I wanted to zoom in on the model's eye I could just put my cursor there and tap the plus key on my keyboard a few times. To zoom out, I'll tap the minus key a few times. If I want to zoom on the ear, I can put my cursor there and again press plus a few times. This time, to zoom out I'll go back to the view menu and choose zoom, fit image in window.
