- [Instructor] If someone asks you what your dream job is, my guess is that you could easily tell them. You may have an idea of a role you'd like to fill, such as lead designer or even a company you'd like to go to. I think this is even true for most people in the game industry. Even though we're currently in position A, we're eventually hoping to be in position B or company C. That said, I believe people sometimes make a tactical error when researching their dream job. They start the search when they're actually ready for the job and may find that they don't have the skills they need for the job in question. That's why I recommend researching as soon as possible. To illustrate the path of how you can do it differently, let me tell you a story about a former student of mine, Will.
