- [Instructor] Now that we know the players involved, let's get into the pitch process. How exactly are games pitched? Well, I'm going to divide this discussion into three parts, and we'll call it level one, two and three. Level one, if you're just starting out, the reality is is that you need to make your game before pitching it to anyone. At the very least, you'll need a fully functional demo which shows game play so people can see what it is you intend to make and that you have the ability to make it. Why won't people just fund your idea? For every idea, there are at least 1,000 ways for it to go wrong in the execution. Starting a game is easy, but finishing it is hard. Finishing it well requires exceptional skill. With plenty of passion, even without funding, you can work on your game in the evenings, on the weekends, whenever you have spare time.
