Equalizing tracks

- [Instructor] All right, in these next couple of movies, I want to touch on some ways you can improve and enhance the sounds of your individual tracks in GarageBand. Let's start by talking about equalization or EQ. I'm going to select and solo the snare drum track and let's open up the smart controls. By the way, you can toggle open the smart controls by pressing B on your keyboard. And as we previously saw, the smart control area in GarageBand includes a tab to access the visual EQ settings. This is an eight band graphic equalizer and every track has its own EQ settings which you can use to optimize the sound of that particular track. If you've used graphic equalizers in other audio editing applications you should have no trouble using this one in GarageBand. But let's take a quick overview of this in case you're not familiar with working with EQs. So currently this is a completely flat EQ. It's not effecting the sound…
