- [Instructor] So, another way to add pre-recorded sounds and music to your GarageBand project is by dragging in audio files. This is useful if you, say, found a sound effect on the Internet that you wanna add to your song, like screeching tires or a plane going by. You can also add musical audio files, but they're a little tricker to work with because you probably won't know the key and most likely you won't know the exact tempo of the music when you bring it in. So you'll have to spend some time experimenting with the tempo and key settings to try to match them to the track you brought in. But it can be done. You can import all sorts of audio file formats into GarageBand, including AIF files, Wav files, MP3s, and even the iTunes AAC file format, as long as it's not a copyright protected AAC file that you bought from the iTunes store.
