Work with the Tempo track

- [Instructor] Earlier in this chapter, we saw how to set the tempo of your song when creating a new project. And I think in the great majority of cases, you'll stick to the same tempo throughout your project. But there may be times when you want to speed up or slow down the tempo at points in certain songs. Garageband makes it pretty easy to establish these tempo changes with a tool called the Tempo Track. You can view the Tempo Track by going to the track menu and choosing show Tempo Track, or you can press the shift command t to toggle between showing and hiding it. Now you can apply tempo changes at any point in the process of putting your song together just like you can change the overall tempo at any time. But just be aware that changing the tempo when you already have tracks recorded may produce unwanted changes. Now, Garageband is really good at keeping some sounds the same when you change the tempo.
