- [Instructor] Even though we haven't gone specifically into the details of working with every single software instrument here, in this movie, I did want to go a little bit into working with the synth instruments in GarageBand. I'm gonna create a new project with the keyboard collection and as we've seen before this generates a new project with several piano, organ and synthesizers tracks already created for us. I'm just gonna close the library so we can see that selection a little bit more. I'll just pull my volume down a little bit here. (piano sound) So you can see all of my keyboards that are here by default and the Smart Control panel is also opened by default and with each instrument we select, we see different Smart Controls. So for instruments like with the piano and the electric piano, we see knobs for tone control, compression and effects. For the organ we see switches and the sliders like you'd see on a real organ.
