Tools for working with Git repositories

- [Instructor] There are plenty of tech professionals that prefer working in a programming IDE or editor as an alternative to the command line. We'll show you how to use Git in some popular tools, but there are other interesting clients for Git You can find more if you are interested by going here to the git-scm.com website, then you'll want to scroll down the page and click here where it says Windows GUIs. Now at the top of this you can filter by Windows, Macs, Linux, Android, and iOS. I'm working on a Windows computer, so I would look in this section and it says there's 29 Window GUIs shown here. And I've used several of the items on this list. I've used SourceTree, GitHub Desktop, I've also used TortoiseGit. I'm sure if you look through this list, you'll find some clients you may have experienced in the past, and there's even more than shown on this page. These are like the big items, and then there's a list of other tools at the bottom, here on this link Interfaces, Frontends, and Tools. It's in the Git Wiki. And when you click here and look at the list, you'll see that there are hundreds of clients. I encourage you to explore this list or the one on the previous page. You might find another tool that you like.
