- [Narrator] The edit window is where you'll spend most of you time as a glyphs user. It's where you draw and edit outlines, and where you'll fit and kern your font. To go to the edit window from the font view, just double click on this A. Each glyph has a bounding box, the left and right sides are the side-bearings, the top and bottom are the ascender and descender lines, and the base line, x height and cap height are also visible. At the bottom of the drawing area is a basic info box, showing the glyph name, its Unicode value, its side-bearings and its width. When paths are selected, so for instance if I hit command A, you can see that the info palette expands to show additional measurements like the size and position of a path and how many points and handles it contains. You can type new values into the size and position fields making the info palette a precise and powerful editing tool.
