Kerning palette

- [Instructor] Kerning is the adjustment of space between pairs of letters. Common kerning pairs include problem combinations like the cap T and lowercase o, and the cap T and lowercase a. Kerning pairs can number in the hundreds or sometimes thousands, so Glyphs' app has a dedicated palette for tracking and editing them. The kerning palette is accessed from the Window menu or by typing command + option + k. The palette contains a list of all the kerning pairs in the font, and since this font has no kerning, the palette is empty, but if I kern this T and o in the edit window, you'll see the pair appear in the kerning palette. So I'll place the cursor between the two letters, and down here I'll type in a value. Let's try negative 100, nice and tight. Conversely, changes in the kerning palette are reflected in the Edit window. So if I type negative 80 up here, you'll see it reflected down here in the edit window.
