- [Narrator] So you've completed your letters, numbers, and punctuation, and you've generated a couple of test fonts. You've started typing some words in InDesign and almost immediately you start to see things you'd like to change. This is one of the dark secrets of type design and many other forms of design. When you think you're done, you're really just starting. And using your font for the first time, you'll doubtless see things in the shapes of letters that you'll want to change, and you'll keep seeing new things each iteration. This process is normal and it's how fonts get better, and when you finally let go of your font and it's out in the world, you'll continue to find things you wish you had changed. It's maddening, but it's also proof of the development of your critical typographic eye. Let's look at a couple of tools that will help you in your quest for a more perfect typeface.
