- [Narrator] Inline filters are simple but powerful tool to allow us to quickly control and consolidate the data that we're analyzing in the data table and all the graphs. Before we begin, let's talk about terminology. The three primary types of filters. View filters, quick inline filters, and the advanced filters. Let's actually start out by pointing out the filters we're not going to talk about in this video so we don't get into trouble. If we take a look at the view settings down here in the admin, come over here to the view, and come down here to an area called filters. We see some advanced filters here, these are going to affect the views, it's gonna actually keep the data from getting into the view, and frankly, these are pretty dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. We'll discuss these over in the Advanced Google Analytics course but we're gonna go ahead and back away from these for now. These are not the subject of this video.
