Simplifying content in marketing presentations

- [Instructor] For text content and messaging in marketing presentations, simplicity is key. However, it's another strategy that tends to be difficult with presentations that focus around data. For slides with text and data, a good story can be imagined as reading a page with the viewers eye direction. Should the audience see the data before the text insight on the left or should the data be positioned on the right as a conclusion of the insight? For data elements that are complex or show several measurements, it's good to have it on the right so that the viewer has already read your copy and is prepared to analyze. Whereas if it's on the left, it's usually a case of showing an important KPI or simpler chart to introduce the explanation instead.
