So much so that a survey of 7,000 knowledge workers from 17 countries found that the ease of communication is what leads to good collaboration. One way to encourage seamless communication is by using editorial calendars to account for the needs of multiple departments at once. The point is to make it easier for each department to be aware of what's happening with different initiatives, add their contribution to the right projects, and strategically use their resources. So what does that mean?
