How does VR work?

- While you don't have to have a deep understanding of the inner workings of 360 degree capture to be able to create effective results, understanding the basics will help you better interpret the results that you get from your VR camera. When you shoot a still image there is a perspective system within that image. All lines in the image converge to a single point. If you shoot multiple images while panning across a scene, you can collage them together to create a panorama, but each individual image will have its own perspective system. That is, each will have a separate vanishing point so the overall geometry of the final scene will be incorrect. When you use panoramic software to stitch different images together, the software corrects the perspective in each individual shot so that the final panorama has a single vanishing point, just like a normal image.
