- Well, cameras like the Ricoh Theta provide really impressive VR specific technology, this whole process is heavily dependent on post production processing. After all, we're effectively shooting with multiple cameras, multiple separate cameras, to get their output all stitched together into a usable finished VR movie, requires a good amount of computation. Where most people seem to get confused is in understanding what comes out of the camera and what needs to happen to it. We're going to look at the three different steps that go into producing a finished VR movie. Now, I'm using the Theta as my example, but the stages that I'm showing you are going to be true of any VR rig that you use. There might just be a scaling up and down depending on how many cameras you're using. The Theta is really just two cameras, and you can see them right here.
