- [Instructor] Consistent feedback is a key element in improving student learning. The basics of providing feedback are a given. You need to let your students know how they're performing. You need to assess their strengths and areas for improvement, and so on. However, you do have a choice about how to provide this feedback. When possible, I suggest that you find thoughtful and creative ways to connect with your students on these matters, especially in the virtual classroom where finding meaningful ways to connect is so important. Some ideas include checking in and communicating with students individually by message or chat. Let them know how they're doing, but also ask if they have any questions. Schedule synchronous one on one meetings with students. The best way to do this is by video conference if possible. Also, you could create a video or audio message to share with learners as a way to give it a more personalized…
