- [Narrator] Cloud Bigtable is a columnar database supported on GCP. Data is stored column by column inside Cloud Bigtable similar to HBase and Cassandra. Column families are used to store data and column themselves are flexible and can be dynamically added. The table also has rows, each with its own unique key. The key can be used to query and access the data in the row. Bigtable is compatible with HBase and supports the same interface, so applications currently using HBase can seamlessly migrate to Bigtable. It supports multiple data types, including complex ones like arrays and structures. It is fully managed by GCP, minimizing administration and scaling costs. What are the strengths of Bigtable?
