- All right, let's talk about Google Cloud Storage. With GCS, everything is stored in something called a bucket. You can think of this, like a hard drive in the cloud, restore all your files. And in GCS, these files are called objects. Buckets and objects. Let's begin and click, create bucket. First things, first, we have to name our bucket. It has to be a globally unique name. It will be part of the object URL. So it has to be globally unique. We'll try, my pet project bucket and press continue. Now, before we continue, I want to draw your attention to the right hand section here where it shows monthly cost estimate. Let's fill this up to see how much we will end up spending given our different bucket settings and configuration.
