- [Narrator] So governance for machine learning systems is something that's often not known to people who are building those systems. They do understand security because they don't want their systems to be breached, but governance is more about putting guardrails around data, processes, in this case cognitive systems, to ensure that we're keeping the system safe from accidental use, or mistakes that are typically being made, or even erroneous acts that occur within these organizations, you know, based on disgruntled employees, things like that. So we don't want to provide everybody has authorization to our machine learning based system to all components of that machine learning system. And when you even have access to those components, you want to use them in certain predefined ways. And we do that via policy.
