So keep in mind getting the requirements right is an imperative. You really need to understand what needs to get done. Ultimately, why you're building this and specifically, why you're building this using machine learning mechanisms. Those have to be justified. Ultimately, you need to figure out the design of the system. How it needs to get done. Ultimately, you're going to take your requirements and you say, these are the objectives that I need to meet as part of the business and I'm going to design the system appropriately.
