- [Instructor] Let me now show you how we can connect to the new Datalab instance. Open the cloud SDK shell. In this enter the datalab connect datalab lil-demo. This command may run for some time. It is going to trigger starting up the VM if it does start it already. It creates a connection to it and it provides the notebook service to your localhost port 8081. Once you see the message that you can now connect to data localhost 8081 and you go there, you will see the notebook open for you. Now this notebook is executing from the VM we just created, so we going to go to the VM and we are going to SSH into this VM. We have now done an SSH into the VM on which the notebook is supposed to run. We can go to the directory /mnt/disks/datalab-pd. This is the folder in which all your notebooks are stored under the directory content. Whatever you put in here, is what will show up in your notebook browser.
