- [Instructor] Understanding non-relational database options on GCP. This is also called NoSQL, so if you see that term come up, you're in the right place. Okay, so the first thing we want to do is we're going to go to the Google Cloud database website and just like we did when we looked at our relational database options, we're going to scroll down underneath that and we're going to find that there's two options, Cloud Bigtable and Cloud Firestore. Those are our NoSQL database options for GCP. Now, for the first one we want to talk about, let's talk about Cloud Firestore. The first key thing I'd like you to really think about is that it's serverless. And when I highlight serverless here, what's so awesome about it is when you're thinking about a database that's serverless, it automatically scales and you have to do no maintenance at all.
