From the course: Leveraging Cloud-Based Machine Learning on Google Cloud Platform: Real World Applications

What you should know

- [Instructor] So a common question as we learn about machine learning on cloud-based systems is, what you should know. Well, we have a certain assumption. So ultimately we're looking for a basic knowledge of cloud computing. You don't need to be a cloud computing expert. Just kind of a working knowledge as to what it is and how it works. And then we want a fundamental passion or interest in how artificially intelligent systems work, and how machine learning works, specifically. So the skills required. We're looking for an understanding of what public clouds are and what they do. We're looking for a basic comprehension of what data is and what it does. We're looking for people who understand the basic ideas behind application development. Understand the basics of security. How systems are secured. And some rudimentary governance concepts. From service governance down to the API level to resource governance. Storage compute databases. Things such as that. And the ability to understand business skills. How this thing works within an application development scenario to enhance the business.
