Formatting cells, rows, and columns

- [Instructor] Google Sheets gives you a lot of options for formatting your spreadsheet's cells, rows and columns. You can find these formatting options under the Format menu, on the toolbar, and in the keyboard shortcuts. When you hover over a formatting icon in the toolbar, you'll see a description of what that option can do. For example, when I have hover over this B icon, I see a pop-up description showing me that tool is used for formatting in bold. Let's look at how the formatting options work in Google Sheets. I'll show you using this monthly sales report spreadsheet. If you're following along, download the file titled format from the exercise files chapter five folder. You can change the format of a number to display it as currency. I'll select this whole price column here, then I'll click the format as currency icon in the toolbar.
