Freezing rows and columns

- [Instructor] If you have a large data set, it can be useful to freeze rows or columns on your spreadsheet. This way, you can keep rows or columns visible while you scroll through the rest of the spreadsheet. First, let's talk about freezing rows. I'll show you how, using the sunshine and location chart. You can download this file and follow along. It's titled freeze in the exercise files Chapter four folder. Now this sheet has a lot of rows and I'd like the column headers to stay visible as I scroll down through the rows. In fact, I want these first three rows to stay visible as I scroll. I'll select the third row, since that's the last row I'd like to stay visible, then I'll go up to the View menu and select Freeze. I want to select more than one or two rows, in fact, I want to select up to my current row, so I select Up to current row, 3.
