Hiding rows, columns, and sheets

- [Instructor] Hiding rows, columns or sheets can be handy if you want to focus on a small part of your spreadsheet, conceal or protect a row or column, or simplify the view of the spreadsheet when presenting. First, let's talk about hiding and unhiding rows on a spreadsheet. I'll show you how using the sunshine and location chart. This file is titled hide in the exercise files chapter four folder. I've decided I went to hide the data for Alaska. So I'll select rows four and five, right click, and select hide rows four and five. When I click away from that and hover, I see that a small icon with an up and down arrow appears where rows four and five are hidden. If I click on that icon, the rows appear again. We can also hide columns. I'll hide some extraneous columns on this solar panel chart.
