Importing data files

- [Instructor] You can import and convert many types of data files into Google Sheets, including .csv and .txt files and other file types exported from databases such as comma- or tab-delimited files. When you import and convert another file type to a Google Sheets spreadsheet, you'll be able to edit and share that spreadsheet with Google Sheets. I'll show you how to do this with a comma-delimited file or .csv file of solar products data that I'm working with. I'll start from a new Google Sheet. From the Google Sheets menu tab I'll select File and Import. I'll click Upload on the right and select that CSV file from my desktop. Now I'll select one of the import options as listed. From here I could create a new spreadsheet, enter a new sheet, replace a spreadsheet, replace the current sheet, append to a current sheet or replace the data at a selected cell.
