(upbeat music) - Have you ever wondered what's happening in the mind of someone who's experiencing your design? Right at the time they are experiencing it? The human mind is confronted with tens of thousands of messages every single day. And the world's fastest filter is deciding which messages you need to pay attention to and which can be discarded. Here's what's happening when someone sees one of your designs. As soon as visual stimuli enters the brain, there's four things that are happening. The first is input. Does this matter to me? Should I care about this? And if the answer is yes, then there is context. Who I am and where I'm from dictates whether or not I should care about this. And if I get past that, there's an emotional response. How do I feel about this? And then past that is a physical response. What will I do next? All of this happens in a split second, and if the filter says yes you should care about this, there's actually three types of responses you could have. The…
