- A little bit of theory today and then we'll look at an ad that was sent in by a member. Whenever you have a visual field, it can be anything, paper, screen, side of a stadium and you place an object in that field, you create a relationship. In this case, you have a relationship of black to white, of big to small, both are centered, both are squares. Inside the field, objects can move around pretty freely. But when they get near the edge an interesting thing happens, they start encountering some tension and that's because the edge is exerting a pull, an attraction. In this case, you can see that we have a channel here. That's almost always gonna happen when you have an object near the edge. But the edge is really pulling on it. So, if you want to put tension in your design one way to get it is to go to get your object close to the side. Another thing is you have size relationship as we make the object bigger and bigger.
