How to use the exercise files

- [Instructor] Hey, guess what? I have a free file for you that you can download from the Exercise Files section on the course page. Whether or not you have access to the full exercise files, this free PDF is a list of most of the places that I mention throughout the course along with their URLs. Because as you'll see, we go through a lot of URLs, a lot of services, a lot of utilities and places where you download things from. And instead of having you madly scribble these things down, you can just download the PDF and link to them. Now if you do have access to the exercise files, you'll find them on the course page. Download that zip, unzip it, put it on your desktop, and here's how they're structured. I have a folder for every chapter in this course, and the videos within each chapter have a folder for the exercise files that go with them. If a movie doesn't have exercise files, you won't see a subfolder. Sometimes I'm using Adobe InDesign in some of the movies, and I'm using InDesign CC 2017. If you have an earlier version of InDesign, don't worry, I've created an IDML file for all of those, which means that you can open up the IDML file in an older version of InDesign. And about fonts. If you come up with a missing fonts alert when you open up one of these files, don't worry about it. You can use your own fonts. I happen to be using Typekit for most of these, but if you don't have a Typekit subscription that's okay. Fonts are not that critical to this course. If you don't have access to the exercise files, that's fine too. You're going to get a ton out of this course anyway, and you can just use your own files if you'd like. Thanks.
