- One of the frequent outcomes of reviewing thousands of crop fresh logos each year is the unanticipated emergence of the shape de jour. The ascension process is tough to forecast on these but there is a level of assurance that once a shape breaks through, it will stick with us for at least a few seasons. Taking a look at the past few years, we saw the hexagon charge in with popularity that has seemed to have some lasting power. In our last report, we saw rectangles with clipped or rounded corners. We've seen four pointed stars and shields that looked at bit more like the back pocket on pair of Levi's. This year, the nod to the front runner in this category has to go to the upward slanting parallelogram. I sure wish there was a shorter word to describe these, but the concept is simple enough. Take a strong, horizontal rectangle, and lift the two right Bezier points straight up a bit and you're done. To be fair, this solution this year has taken on about every possible iteration…
