(upbeat music) - Are you a Twitter user? Have you ever used Twitter in the past and if so, maybe you remember in 2015, an interesting shift happened with Twitter. Jameson definitely remembers. You see, in 2015, Twitter got rid of a very simple button. It was a star button that they used regularly on their tweets. This small button, it was about this big on a simple tweet, was something that people would regularly click on to bookmark a tweet. That was the functionality of it at least. The idea was you could click on that star button and save that tweet for later. Unfortunately, that's not how people were using it. Instead of simply using it to bookmark a tweet, people were actually using it in arguments, going back and forth. If somebody was in a heated Twitter debate, and another person wanted to be done with that debate, they would have that final last word and hit that star button as a virtual microphone drop.
