The humble power of negative space

- I was in the Porsche dealership the other day. Those of you who are familiar with the brand know that it's kind of exciting. The dealership is minimal, it's modern, it's high-tech, it's very clean, it's very geometric, it's very intentionally designed. In this way it's kind of like Apple. You know that thought has been put into every detail. And the salesperson handed me her card. Now I'll let you know I've changed all the information on the card, but it looks like this. It too is minimal, lots of quiet white space. There's a lot of power in that white space. It looks very intentionally designed. Part of the clean is coming from the fact that they use for their corporate typeface a sans-serif gothic face, so there's not the busyness of serif type, there's not the busyness of varying stroke widths and so on.
