Breaking down the paneling tools

- [Instructor] I have my exercise file open already. In the last video, we talked about the basics of the paneling tools, and how what's really happening is you're creating these points and then using the points to sample along the domain of an NURBS surface. So this is a 3D morph using a paneling tools component. Let's go the the paneling tools, and if we go to panel 2D, there's this component called cellulate. And I'm going to get rid of the 3D morph. (mouse clicking) So cellulate takes this grid of points and then builds surfaces and wires for each cell within the grid. And this is the key thing that paneling tools is doing. It's actually the only hard thing it's doing, and it's not really that hard. It's taking this grid of points which are organized in rows, and turning them into cells of four points that can be used as a reference for geometry. So let's see how that's actually working.
