- [Instructor] Hello and welcome. We're looking at some of the RhinoCommon functionality, particularly around surfaces that we can use to easily extend Grasshopper with some simple custom C-sharp components. I have my exercise file open already here, and I have a surface that I created, which is a degree one surface. And then I have a couple of additional surfaces that are just standard primitives from within Grasshopper, so plain surface and a sphere. And what we're going to look at is the fit surface functionality. Grasshopper has a fit curve, and there's some plugins that use fit surface or similar things, but we're just going to implement the basic fit surface method that's built in within RhinoCommon. And then we're going to look at how we can control the tolerance to get the results that we need. So if I go to math custom component, the input here is going to be a surface.
