Gathering data

- [Instructor] The purpose of building prototypes is to answer questions and gather data to make design decisions. To support decision-making, it's critical to visualize data easily and translate it into whatever formats are most useful. We know that for our type sorter, we want to sum the effects of sunlight over the year. This is how we determine the panel type. Before I start, I want to turn on my panel visualization. So, I'm going to turn off the mesh visualization earlier on in the script and go to the right side and turn on my panel visualization. I notice right away, a red flag. One of my components is taking 5.5 seconds to compute. This is an issue. So, I'm going to go into the cluster to see what's going on. It'll likely take a few seconds to open the cluster but I can see right away that I'm pairing a data tree with a flat data list. I haven't flattened the output of my surfaces. So, I'll right click, flatten, and now I have a list and a list and I can confirm that I have…
