How to manage Grasshopper and Rhino windows simultaneously

- [Instructor] Let's take a look at the Grasshopper interface. Now, Grasshopper always operates alongside Rhino, so we'll always need to start Rhino first before opening Grasshopper and you can see I've done that here. To get Grasshopper running, I'll just go ahead and type grasshopper into the command line, hit Enter, and Rhino will launch Grasshopper. And I can see now, I've got a couple separate windows that have popped up. This top one offers some links to helpful tutorials. I won't need that in this video, so I'll go ahead and uncheck this checkbox so that won't come up automatically anymore. Let's close out that window. So you can see now, I've got this separate Grasshopper window and that's on top of my Rhino window. And sometimes it can be a little bit awkward working back and forth between the two programs, but there's a couple of different ways that you can sort of streamline that back and forth. What I like to do is just click and drag my Rhino window and snap it to the edge of the screen, and then do the same with Grasshopper so I can look at both side by side. So, that's one option for working back and forth between Grasshopper and Rhino. A different way you could do this is let's say that you wanted to have your Rhino window maximized. So, go ahead and maximize my Rhino window. Now, even though the Grasshopper window's going to be on top of Rhino all the time, what we can do is double click in the top of that Grasshopper window and that will sort of collapse while still staying above. So we can work in Rhino. If we need to jump back to Grasshopper, we can just double click and open up our Grasshopper window. So, those are two pretty nice ways of working back and forth between Grasshopper and Rhino.
