How to use Series and Range components in Grasshopper

- [Instructor] Sequence components are used in grasshopper for generating lists of numbers. You can find them under the sets component tab in the sequence sub panel. In this video, we'll look at range and series. So range divides a domain of numbers into a series of equal sections. It takes two inputs, the first is a domain, and this gives us the high and the low value between which to operate. The second is a number of steps. So this is the number of divisions to make over the domain. In this example, our domain is from zero to 25. So those are our lower and upper limits respectively. And our number of steps is six. So we'll be generating six numbers evenly spaced between zero and 25. We can figure out the space between those numbers which is also called the step size by dividing the length of the domain by the number of steps. So here 25 divided by six equals four and one sixth.
