- [Narrator] At its most basic, machine learning is the process of inferring rules and relationships from sample data. This concept has been extended with additional machine learning tools to include other types of learning including the ability to sort a set of things into groups or to classify things by type. This video will focus specifically on the tools included with the LunchBox plugin in Grasshopper. Our goal will be to organize or classify the tools based on the type of learning they mimic thinking about how each could be incorporated into a design workflow. Having considered regression as the fundamental machine learning paradigm, this video will dig deeper into other types of machine learning. As we humans move through the world we are constantly organizing things into groups. Most of the time the distinctions between these groups are not explicitly defined.
