Operating in different cartesian systems

- [Instructor] Welcome. I have my exercise file open already. In this video I want to look at moving back and forth, or translating information between different coordinate systems. I have a sample file here where I have two curves. In one of the curves I'm creating a series of frames, which I'm then reorienting so the frames are basically vertical or aligned vertically, and then I'm lofting along that curve. So let's look at how we can take geometry and move it from one coordinate system to another in a really simple way. So I'll go to the top view, and I'm just going to draw a polyline here. I'll start at the origin. So now I have this sort of random, strange polyline. I'm going to bring that into Grasshopper, and I'm going to get the coordinates from that curve, so I'll use the discontinuity component to grab the vertices. And then I'm going to translate those vertices from one coordinate system to another. So one…
